GenYTO was formed in January 2009 by Erin Bury, Casie Stewart, Renee Warren, Daniel Patricio, and Dave Coleman. As a team, they have worked with many awesome members of the Toronto community, local start-ups, charity organizations and national companies.
Erin Bury is the Community Manager @Sprouter, an online collaboration tool for entrepreneurs. She’s a Tech writer for @BlogTO, #GenYTO co-founder and a TwestivalTO co-organizer. Erin is a self-professed geek who’s been quoted by the New York Times, Forbes, and CNN.
With a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck, Erin helped grow Sprouter from an unknown Toronto-based startup to a globally recognized entrepreneurship brand - she’s had fun doing it too. Erin’s got a serious addiction to junk food, top 40 music, optimism and a serious aversion to winter, bad manners and improper grammar.
Casie has been publishing her blog ‘this is my life’ for the past five years and is one of the top bloggers in Toronto. She’s worked with many international brands and consumer products including Givenchy, Lexus, LG, Maybelline, Mattel & MTV. Casie likes high kicks and really loves blogging.
Renee is the new gal at Face Wireless and helps brands build their online presence at reneewarren.com.
Aside from being a co-founder of #GenYTO, she’s an ultimate Frisbee player and serious chocolate lover. Renee has a great sense of humor and loves to travel.
Daniel Patricio has been involved in business since a young age and and is currently the CEO at Orange Rhino. He’s fascinated by the dynamic of social influence and storied brands.
Daniel likes connecting the dots between digital engagement and real world action. He’s also got a rad South African accent and loves soccer.
Coleman would much rather be jumping out of a plane than sitting behind a desk; he likes adventure. Aside from being a co-founder of GenYTO, he’s also the newspaper delivery boy @Spreed.Digital and Strategist for @WebFoundation.
